The day
Graduation day disappears fast: the ceremony, the crowds, everyone wanting a minute of you. A dedicated session, on the day or in the week around it, gives you unhurried photographs in your gown, on the campus where it all happened, with the family and friends who carried you here.

What to expect
We shoot at your university or anywhere meaningful: the oak-lined avenues of Stellenbosch, UCT's upper campus, a garden your family loves. In your gown, with your scroll, and out of it too if you'd like.
The people who got you here belong in the photographs. Bring your parents, grandparents, siblings and friends; I direct the groups gently, so everyone looks like themselves.
Hand-edited photographs within two weeks, delivered in a private online gallery, easy to download and share with the whole family, here and abroad.
Questions
Either works. On the day you have the gown, the crowds and the energy; in the week around it, campus is quiet and the light is easier. Many graduates do a session the day before or after the ceremony.
Please bring them. Parents, grandparents, siblings, friends: the session is as much about the people who got you here as it is about you.
Your campus is the natural place: Stellenbosch's oak-lined streets, UCT's upper campus, or anywhere in Cape Town that means something to you. If you're unsure, I'll suggest spots that suit the time of day.
Your gown, hood and scroll, plus any outfit change you'd like. If your gown collection or return times are tight, tell me and we'll plan the session around them.
Between 40 and 60 edited photographs. That covers your portraits in the gown, the family and friends who came along, and the campus itself, without padding the gallery with near duplicates.
Within two weeks of the session. They arrive in a private online gallery, edited by hand and easy to share with the whole family, here and abroad.

Graduation weeks are busy and ceremony dates are fixed, so the earlier you enquire the better. Tell me your university, your ceremony date and who'll be joining, and I'll come back to you with availability. Sessions are R2500, travel included.
